Advice I’d give to my 25-year-old self
Don’t get too caught up in what everyone else is doing with their careers. Follow your own interests and surround yourself with people who are also passionate about the same things that you are.
If I wasn’t a lawyer, I’d probably be…
Probably an engineer or a physicist. I’ve always been fascinated by how things work and new technological solutions.
Everyone’s talking about…
AI and its impact on business models and operational strategies. And yes, it’s also shaking up the legal profession. From an ESG and sustainability perspective the conversation is no longer just about compliance. It is also about how AI, data analyses and smart systems transform business operations and make a difference for environmental outcomes, for instance in the context of new mobility concepts or energy efficiency in infrastructure projects.
What’s next in ESG/sustainability law?
There’s a growing focus on comprehensive product lifecycle management and circular economy requirements. New regulations are pushing companies to consider the environmental impact of their products from cradle to grave.
The most interesting place my job has taken me
It was quite fascinating to visit several automotive industry sites, including testing and wind tunnel facilities. Getting a firsthand impression of production processes and some idea of how engineers test and refine components gave me a better understanding of how technical expertise and new technologies can contribute to product performance.
